Teamwork

Coming together is a beginning. Keeping together is progress. Working together is success"
-Henry Ford

Teamwork is an important part of life.  Not only do we have need to have good teamwork for business, but also for life.  I believe that by learning good teamwork we can not only improve our productivity at work, but we can also improve our relationships at home.

There a few qualities that are necessary for a team to have a good atmosphere.  These same qualities are important to any relationship whether it is a personal relationship or professional relationship.  The first of these qualities is openness.  By having an open relationship there is a better atmosphere for discussions.  With an open feeling in a group it allows team members to think freely and share ideas.

The second quality that is important to have in every team is support.  Excellent support in a team breeds trust and allegiance.  Having a supporting team can cause individuals to be able to complete more work than if the individual was to be working alone.

The last quality that I am going to cover is trust.  With a team that trusts each other, the members are willing to go out on a limb more with ideas or thoughts.  Teams that are able to brainstorm more without the fear of repercussion from other members are able to have more open discussions and end up with better products (The Centre for Teaching Excellence , 2013).

These attributes of a great team are something that everyone should try to have in all of their relationships.  When I make sure I follow these at work or at home, I feel like my relationships are stronger and that I am able to get more work done than before.
